"Building Better Readers At Your Library!"
"Now Your Library Can Have An Awesome Comedy Magician Make Your Summer Reading Club A Huge Success This Year!"
Dear Youth Services Librarian:
Getting kids interested in reading books and visiting the library can be pretty tough these days! Between television, the internet and video games, children often times lack the desire to open a good book and spend time reading. As a librarian, you have to come up with unique ways to get kids to the library and increase your circulation. Let Me Introduce Myself: My name is Todd McKinney and for over a decade, my programs have packed libraries throughout the state of Texas. Now it's time that I come to your library and teach your young patrons all about the fun of reading and checking out books. I am very proud to announce my all new program for 2011, "Building Better Readers!" Get ready for a fun-filled themed show where young patrons will be standing in line to check out piles of books.
"You are the best in the business..."
"All I can say about your programs is WOW! When it comes to entertaining children and getting them excited about reading and visiting the library, you are the best in the business! Thanks for everything you do to promote reading!"
Stacy Phillips- Youth Services Librarian Waco McLennan County Library
"Easy to work with..."
"After having you at our library for several years in a row, I can say that you are honest, dependable and very easy to work with. I really appreciate the fact that you do a different program each year that the kids just love!"
Sue Ridnour- Youth Services Librarian Flower Mound Public Library
"The program was just wonderful..."
"The way you encouraged the kids to read and your use of books in the program was just wonderful. We look forward to seeing you again next year for another spectacular program!"

AMAZING MAGIC TRICKS:There is no better way to capture and keep the attention of the kids than through magic tricks. These tricks are used in a special way to teach the children about the fun of reading and signing up for your summer reading club.
AGE APPROPRIATE HUMOR: Laughter is a sure fire way to insure success and get the kids in your community interested in books. Side splitting and age-appropriate humor will keep the audience laughing and having a great time from start to finish. You'll never have to worry about anyone being bored and restless during my visit to your library.
JOIN-IN-FUN: Rather than sitting and watching the program, young patrons from the audience will be invited to come up and help during the program. Boys and girls both get to help make the "magic" happen during this explosion of fun, laughter and learning.
REAL BOOKS IN THE SHOW: One of the secrets to getting children truly interested in reading is to use books that kids know and recognize. You'll see titles like: If you give a mouse a cookie, Hank the Cowdog, Junie B. Jones and more come to life during this explosion of laughter and learning.
A NEW SHOW EVERY YEAR: I am so excited to write and produce an all new show designed especially for the summer each year. I am not one of those presenters who recycles the same material year after year. My programs are always fresh and new!
