Discover The Magic Of Passing With
A One-Of-A-Kind STAAR School Assembly
The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR™) will replace the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS), which is the criterion-referenced assessment program that has been in place since 2003. STAAR™ includes the 12 end-of-course (EOC) assessments mandated by SB 1031 in 2007 and the new grade assessments mandated by HB 3 in 2009. The new tests will be implemented in the 2011–2012 school year.
Getting students prepared to take the STAAR test (formely the TAKS test) can be difficult! These days the pressure to stay "on top" and pass such a big test can be hard. How do you make children understand the importance of trying their best and not giving up?
I am proud to announce an educational assembly program on the ultra hot topic of STAAR testing. My program, "I Can Pass" is the only one of its kind in the state of Texas! In this exciting assembly, each child will be motivated and inspired from start to finish. I'll take your students on a "magical" journey to discover how changing your attitude can change your outcome. I believe that presenting a positive and upbeat message can really help students reach their goals. According to 100's of elementary and intermediate campuses that have hosted my previous TAKS testing program, my message works and the students retain the information being taught.
AMAZING MAGIC TRICKS: I use a variety of magic tricks to capture and keep the attention of the students in your school. These tricks all have a special part in the program and they are used to teach children about the power of passing the test in a truly unique way. AGE APPROPRIATE HUMOR: Laughter is a sure fire way to insure success and get your students interested in both the program and the message. I use a ton of hilarious humor to keep the audience laughing and having a great time throughout the assembly. You'll never have to worry about your students or teachers being bored during this high energy program.JOIN-IN-FUN: Rather than simply having to "sit and watch," I use children from the audience to come up and help me during the program. Boys and girls both get to help make the "magic" happen during this explosion of fun, learning and positive thinking! The students become the "STARS" during my STAARS program.REAL LIFE EXAMPLES: The students in your school will watch in amazement as Willie the worm becomes a beautiful butterfly when he changes his bad attitude and starts to believe in himself. This skit helps to sit the tone of the program and teaches children the importance of always trying your best and never giving up. HILARIOUS STORYTELLING: Just wait until your students discover how a role of toilet paper can make you feel good about yourself and help to achieve your goals. Even the teachers will be laughing out loud during this one-of-a-kind eye opening story.
